I’m making robot lists on Twitter (plus a pop culture robot one, let me know if you have any to add.)
FlipBoom is releasing a “teen”/more advanced FlipBoom All-Star version with ability to import images and MP3s, save drawings to a library + a few other snazzy features. Makes me wonder why I upgraded to the full version of Studio w/ its 500+ page manual.
Combine FlipBoom + Robots and you get Blink Kitty Love, featuring I, Jobot. Enjoy.

Aniboom won’t play these full quality either — I don’t know what player myToons used, but I have not found a site that can handle FlipBoom yet so download the current + full quality set o’ Blink Kitty Love episodes (enjoy and good night).
NB: Vimeo drops out a few frames as well…the Bold Cool Coiffed sequence in “I, Jobot” doesn’t register there either.

New episode + insomnia with your favorite FlipBooming crazy crushing band, Blink Kitty Love. In this episode, we spend some time with Tinker and TK.
I should mention here that I adore FlipBoom*. I love pulling out my Wacom tablet, opening FlipBoom Classic**, double checking the color palette and then doodling into the small hours. I’m actually getting better at using the features available, incorporating them into the flow of humor, image and story. When I was a kid, my parents would dump us at my grandmother’s. She had this wonderful glass inset coffee table, an endless supply of paper and a TV where we could actually watch weekend afternoon monster and kung fu movies. So I would sit there in front of the screen showingGodzilla, ignore my brother, draw a line through the center of a piece of paper, and start drawing people and double decker stories, the dialogue and action running in my head. And so of course, I always thought I wanted to draw comic books, especially as I enjoyed reading them so much…but no, it turns out I was practicing for FlipBooming and storyboarding and that’s just fine with me. I would like to print out FlipBooks and get a table at SPX either this year or next (one of my goals is to have the “THE SHIRT” at a comic book convention); but I have given up the web comic thought; not enough movement.
*I also adore GarageBand but I have to get better at it; must acquire drum pad. Midi keyboard a little awkward for percussion or guitar.
**Suggestions for FlipBoom improvements; double the colors you can use at once (easy, just add a row) and allow single frame export for thumbnails.

A new web movie series about a band in too much love — I’ve had the title in my head for awhile and finally just decided to give it some characters and conflict. I’m a natural percussionist and learning so enjoy; as it says; “someday you’ll laugh.” Welcome to Blink Kitty Love, where fun happens after midnights and crushes go round and round.

FlipBoom, the ToonBoom entry level animation program, is my favorite way to unwind when not sleeping. Unfortunately, there is too much not sleeping. It’s 3:47 a.m. and Flash isn’t the only one whose schedule is confused. At some point, I need to learn how to use the Studio Express program but for now, I plug in my Wacom tablet, doodle for awhile, learn to do something more effectively, unplug the tablet, open the 20 to 30 second movie in Garageband, turn on my keyboard/midi controller and doodle musically. Then I upload to myToons.
I would usually be writing this sort of thing at my Withoutabox blog, but something’s messed up there so I guess I’ll start talking about the movie business here. Enjoy.
