Thought I finished all my holiday shopping but no, two nephews left to shop for.

My comic book guys are trying to collect a ton of food for the local food bank + are up to 1324 pounds. They’re giving away free back issues + raffle tickets for every item brought in. It’s an impressive effort to help the less fortunate this holiday season. Here’s a CNN blog post about school kids + hunger, with programs that can help and how more help is needed.

have been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on Nicktoons. They’re showing all the episodes in order during the evenings this week so we’re catching some we’ve never seen. Ran across a book from Dark Horse Comics about the show full of art + character design info. Very interesting and reigniting my interest in tai chi. All the bending forms are based on a martial art. Gayle likes waterbending; I’m finding myself partial to earth, but all the earthbenders seem to be a little crazy.

Just finishing Book 3 of the Harry Potters. Love all the Quidditch coming up in the next batch.

Still enjoying the Blackheart Christmas album. Girl In A Coma’s Blue Christmas (it’s embedded in their Facebook page if you scroll down), continues great. Have to download their Walking After Midnight now.

Reminder: Warehouse 13/Eureka holiday specials coming up on Christmas Eve, 6 and 7 p.m.

Bitchin’ Kitchen — new Cooking Channel find. Food + really fine comedy. And a Meals On Wheels Fan Drive. Join the fun (and tell ’em Blink Kitty Love sent you; they do all my snack work now.)

And while we’re on goofy, Tilteed’s got a great what not to do with crazy squirrels (my title, not the artist’s) shirt up for another 12 hours or so .

And there’s a new Blink Kitty Love in the universe: Who Needs A Date?

I seem to have been busy. Hence the title. Hope you find some quiet in your holidays. And that the universe finds some more peace. Stay warm if you’re cold, take care of the people you’re close to and wassail, just for the heck of it. Christmas movie choices? Desk Set. If we get to watching that one, then maybe there’ll be a next choice. Caught a fun goofy Christmas movie, The Perfect Holiday, on BET with Morris Chestnut, Gabrielle Union, Queen Latifah and Terrence Stamp.

Good night.
